In 2022, Amador County Arts Council (Amador Arts) secured the Arts Exposure Grant from California Arts Council. With support from Amador County Unified School District, Grant writer and Amador Arts Executive Director, Meghan Joy "mojo" O'Keefe applied for funding to send classrooms and families to the Crocker Arts Museum from 2022-2024.
This grant has sent hundreds of local youth and their families to the Crocker Art Museum.🤩✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
Working in partnership with ACUSD administrators since 2018, Amador Arts has advanced local arts education including spearheading the Declaration for Equity in Arts Learning, the Arts Planning Initiative which resulted in a district wide arts plan (adopted in 2020), and the Prop 28 Community Survey of 2024.
