A useful quiet link in Chesterton crossing the river on the new bridge.
Wait until the road hump to turn into the bridge path. This is a shared-use path, so be careful of people walking. The bridge is a great little route which should have plenty of room for both people walking and riding. It's good to separate the paths over the water as it makes it natural for the two modes to separate. Coming down the ramp be aware that people may be cycling along the road next to you.
The path up next to the superstore isn't great and seems to be aimed at just stopping people move naturally. Probably an attempt to avoid potential legal issues with collisions although as usual very poorly done.
Take care when making the final turn into the carpark. People are likely to be moving without looking.
The path meanders up round the car park, which is pleasant to avoid the cars, but quite limiting whilst riding. I can understand people riding through the car park instead. Again, there's more pointless barriers to avoid, and then a rather straightjacketed pavement route with no access to the ASL at the lights.
