Student protests erupted across the country hours after brutal assault on JNU students and teachers by masked assailants inside the campus. Hundreds from educational institutions across Mumbai protested at the Gateway of India. Aligarh Muslim University students took out a candle march in solidarity with the JNU. Portests were also held in Pune, Hyderabad and Kolkata. 100s of students and citizens protested at the Delhi Police headquarters raising slogans against police inaction. Protesters raised slogans against RSS' students body ABVP alleged to be behind the attack.
