The only amazing thing about the alleged choir of crickets that is going viral right now, is that anyone could be so gullible as to actually believe it. This is what it sounds like when you speed it up.
Obviously this is NOT ONE unadulterated (other than slowed down and pitched changed) recording of crickets chirping. This is NOT what crickets sound like. To believe that, you must be pretty gullible and very willing to live in total delusion.
Update (25/11/2013):
Some cowardly person (who's comment I've since deleted since the coward wouldn't let me reply to her cowardly comment) commented on this and said "Why don't you take the time to try it for yourself! You're just mad that you're not the one who had the idea to begin with."
No, I'm not mad. If you want to keep deluding yourself that these sounds were somehow naturally produced by crickets, be my guest. Also, don't make false assumptions about people who take the time to debunk bullshit.
I DID try it for myself before posting this video, and no, the results are nowhere near to sounding like the alleged choirs of Jim Wilson's experimental music.
I used this

Also, I used this

Also, the fact that NO ONE has EVER (!) been able to reproduce Jim Wilsons original work, should speak VOLUMES to anyone who has the ability to think rationally.
But if you want to keep deluding yourselves, as I said, be my guest.
Also, if you believe you've heard crickets make sounds like these in real life, you seriously need to lay off the acid.
