Tokelau is a remote group of atolls in the South Pacific Ocean, halfway between Hawaii and New Zealand, of which it's a territory. It's usually accessed by boat from Samoa, a trip that can take around 24 hours. Nukunonu atoll contains accommodation and a clear lagoon rich in marine life. Location
Tokelau is made up of three small coral atolls – Atafu, Fakaofo and Nukunonu – with a total land area of 12 square kilometres. Tokelau is located about 500km north of Samoa and is home to around 1,500 people. It is part of the Realm of New Zealand and its people are New Zealand citizens.
