Uganda has given China's National Offshore Oil Corporation an environmental clean bill of health, to proceed with drilling and infrastructure construction work near Lake Albert. C-N-O-O-C is one of the companies licensed to develop the Kingfisher oil fields in western Uganda. It plans to pump as much as 40-thousand barrels a day of crude from the field.
