'Tools', in the broadest sense, are things that can be used to create, and to destroy.
It's all about what we're trying to build when we invest, and the tools are just the means to an end.
The more I learn about the Central Bank Digital Currency, the more I'm convinced it's not really about the money itself. It's about the stewards of our money, and what their longer-term objectives are.
CBDC's will almost certainly bring immense benefit, but could also contain significant long-term risks.
