Dr. Mark Solms holds the Chair of Neuropsychology at the Neuroscience Institute of the University of Cape Town and Groote Schuur Hospital. He is a leading figure in bridging neuroscience and psychoanalysis, having published over 350 articles in both fields. Solms is also the editor of The Revised Standard Edition of Freud's Works and a recipient of multiple prestigious awards, including the Sigourney Prize. His book, The Hidden Spring (2021), delves into the mysteries of consciousness, further solidifying his reputation as a pioneer in modern psychoanalytic thought.
