Youth and Sports Minister Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman said the Malaysian contingent has set a target of seven gold medals at this year's Asian Games competition.
He said said among the events include cycling, karate, martial arts (silat) and bowling and if they are lucky the gold medal haul could go up to 11.
In the upcoming Jakarta Palembang Asian Games from Aug 18 to Sept 2, 426 Malaysian athletes will be competing in 35 out of 40 events.
