Next, move the red lever to the right to lock out the pivot and once again draw the knife through the carbides

Stage 3:
Finish the job on the ceramic hone. Around 8-10 strokes should do the trick.

Beyond sharpening knives, each individual sharpener in the pivot family has an added sharpening feature. The Pivot includes a small diamond plate with a groove for sharpening fish hooks. You can also use the plate to sharpen larger tools or make larger repairs to damaged knives.
