Psoriasis is a Greek word which means itchy skin.It is characterized by red scaly regions most commonly on the elbows and skin. Cases are not exactly known. It can be genetic or due to auto immune disease. It is not contagious. It can range from mild to severe to vary severe. There are several types also. Right now there is no cure but we can control it. Treatment options include topical treatments,photo therapy etc. depending on type and severity.
