Member states of the Five Power Defence Arrangements (FPDA) said on Saturday that they are committed to ensuring the 51-year-old defence pact has "modern relevance" in the face of complex security challenges.

While also on the forum, US defense chief Austin delivered a speech, saying the US "seeks a region free of aggression and bullying". He stressed US's commit to the one-China policy, promising not to support "Taiwan independence".
