ENGLISH VERSION: Today's Bible Verse (05.11.2024):
VERSE:
This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me. (PSALM 119:50 KJV)
EXPLANATION:
I greet you in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The Word of God is living and active, the true source of life, strength and power. It will sustain you through any obstacle "This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me." (Psalm 119:50) Today we will meditate on the promise.
One of the unspeakable gifts that God has bestowed upon us is the most comforting scriptures. Watch King David claim that the scriptures brought him to life.
The Lord saw that the people of Israel were small in the land of Egypt for more than four hundred years. He promised, "...I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt unto the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites,..." (Exodus 3:17).
When he led the Israelites into Canaan as he had promised, their smallness changed. Happiness came from prosperity. Help the downtrodden as the Lord helped them. The scriptures say, “Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble." (Psalm 41:1).
You don't need to explain how anxiety suppresses a person's life. You yourself have seen thousands of incidents. The Bible says, “Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad." (Proverbs 12:25).
As you read the scriptures over and over again, every sentence in it comforts your heart. Makes you forget your worries. Every time you read it, it washes away your sorrows and thrills you. David says, "This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me." (Psalm 119:50).
In the above verse, Paul writes: "For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope." (Romans 15:4). Beloved, set aside more time for scripture reading and read the whole scripture. It will give you great comfort.
Yes, God's word truly gives us life and strength. Jesus reminds us that "...Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.' (Matthew 4:4). Bread can benefit the body; But the word of God feeds our souls; Gives us life and purpose.
We read in the scriptures that the word of God is life and power. There is power and life in the word of God. It is important to memorize the promises of God so that truth, comfort and strength will protect us.
When we declare such promises as, "The Lord is my shepherd, I will humble myself," "I will not take up any weapon that shall be formed against me," "I have strength to do all things through Christ who strengthens me," those words give us inspiration, life, comfort, and strength. When we speak the promises of God over our lives, those words of life and power come true.
If we look at the lives of David, Moses, Jeremiah, Isaiah, we know that when God calls us to do something, He prepares us with the promise, "I will go before you. I will deliver you. I will redeem you."
These promises gave them courage; provided the purpose of the call; God's plans were fulfilled and led to success. When tribulation, obstacles, and opposition feel pressing upon you, remember that as you lay the Word of God in your heart, the Holy Spirit will bring to mind His promises and help you through any difficulty.
Start memorizing God's promises to you from today. May his words comfort you in any trouble; May it give you the strength to carry on. God is with you, ready to deliver and redeem you. Will you praise and pray to Him now? Inherit these promises into your life and see how His grace turns every struggle into victory.
