Living in Guangxi province for a month, where is the so-called “Florida” or “Hawaii” of China

Happy New Year viewers!
In this episode, Chinese couple Roderick and Michelle went to two different cities in the Guangxi province: Nanning City, which is the capital of Guangxi also where Michelle calls it home, and Beihai City, a fairly small peaceful city by the very south coast of mainland China

We visited families and friends and tried wakeboat surfing in Nanning. Roderick will tell you about the history of Guangxi and Guangdong provinces.

Then we headed to Beihai, where we met Yong, a local Vietnamese restaurant owner, had our very first Vietnamese meal in China, visited and did lots of interesting places and things

Initially, we didn’t plan to stay in Beihai for a month, and neither Michelle nor I had ever lived in an unfamiliar city for a month for travel purposes. What made us decide to live here for that long? How much is our condo rental? And how was our adventure?
