1962-80 Triumph Spitfire rear axle wheel hub trunnion. In VB's Kit, Item #5-320 (rebuild trunnion kit) a vendor used non OEM size items, and this is the cause of the oozing O-ring seals. A short vid shows what you will see if you are shipped, and install the non corrected kit. I was in contact with VB today, they assure me no complaints about this problem as of this morning. If other buyers are not aware they installed a kit with 2 over sized items, they should hear about it as things wear out. What did I learn? Anytime you have to force something to go together, question it, dig deeper, compare the OEM item with the new replacement. O-rings don't install backward. Grease seals can be installed backward, as I discovered on another rebuild, a vid on that at a later date. Like Dan mentions, The spacer disappears in cut after it’s installed. I did not have installing the bushing O ring during filming. The spacer tube (aka distance piece) was installed as required before the bolt was torqued, after I found it on the bench. Update: 11-30- 020 another kit with oversized parts surfaced out of Calif. QSK151S. I should put it on UT.
