Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has given a shocker to the Sharif Government. It seems like Bhutto is ‘unhappy’ with the federal government ‘not fulfilling its promises’. Zardari said that it would be difficult for PPP to be in federal government if Centre does not fulfil promises. Zardari was talking about Centre’s promises of providing relief to the flood victims of the Sindh. Launching a programme, Zardari transferred Rs 8.39 bn from Sindh budget to BISP for affected farmers. He reminded that federal govt had promised to provide these funds, but provincial govt did the same. Moreover, he also questioned the manner in which digital census exercise was being conducted. Notably, Sindh was one of the worst-hit provinces by the floods that rattled the lives of thousands in Pakistan. Zardari’s party, Pakistan Peoples Party rules in Sindh, where he has provided Rs 8.39 bn for farmers. Shehbaz Sharif’s Government is already facing several setbacks due to severe economic crisis. Meanwhile, IMF and Pakistan failed to strike a deal on bailout package.
