The wildlands of America can be indescribably beautiful, and the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness of Minnesota is no exception. Located in the far northern extreme of the Land of 10,000 Lakes, the one million acres of federally protected land make up a significant portion of Superior National Forest along the state’s border with Ontario, Canada. A popular recreational destination with over 1200 miles of canoe routes and over 2000 campsites, the Boundary Waters attract around 150,000 people per year, with mishaps or disappearances being relatively rare. On the infrequent occasion that something does happen, rescue squads and law enforcement are rarely at a loss to explain the incident. Most often, tragedy can be attributed to the decisions made by the person affected; but every now and then, investigators are left scratching their heads. Such was the case with 29 year old Jordan Grider, a modern day nomad who in 2018 attempted to spend the winter in a primitive camp within the wilderness area.
Huge thank you to @TheMissingEnigma for sharing his sources on this case. We couldn't have done this without the police reports he provided. His video here: [ Ссылка ]
