As many as half of females will get dysmenorrhea at some point of their lives.

There are two types of Dysmenorrhea; primary and secondary (imagine my shock :) , {doctors are so bad at naming things!!!!}

Primary is idiopathic (like primary Hypertension).
Secondary is secondary to other causes such as ..... (Watch the video to know, they are mentioned with a nice little song).

The pain of endometriosis can start 1-2 weeks before menses and peak 1-2 days before menses.

The pain of Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS) or Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) also occurs before the menses "the name has the answer :) “
