1 cup Basmati rice = 1 & 1/2 cup water

Vegetable Biryani / Veg Biryani in Pressure Cooker
Soak: 2 cups basmati rice for 30 minutes
Heat: 4 tbsp oil/ghee in a pressure cooker
ADD: 2 sliced onions, fry till brown
Add 2 tsp ginger-garlic paste
4 cut green chilies
Sauté well
ADD: 2 sliced tomatoes
Cook till pulpy
ADD 2 cups of vegetables

ADD 1 cup curd +chopped coriander leaves + mint leaves
Mix well
Add 4 cups of water
As the water starts boiling
