So, it's official, Lumix are now moving away from their Contrast Based AF system and switching to a Phase Hybrid Detect AF system that actually works incredibly well. This means that the biggest shortfall of the Lumix system has now truly been fixed, and of course, the amazing colour science, ergonomics and IBIS are still here to stay.

I have had the Lumix S5ii in hand now for over a month and it is nothing short of incredible. It has revolutionised the S-Series lineup and now makes it the most cohesive and complete camera package money can buy. You're getting full frame 6K internally, no record limits thanks to the new active cooling system, a fantastic AF system and the best IBIS on the market all for under $2,000.

It's honestly incredible what Panasonic have been able to do at such a competitive price point, and the new S5ii and S5iix will definitely give the competitors a run for their money.
