On my way back to Prague, I make a stop-off for the night in the town of Jihlava; situated in the Bohemian-Moravian highlands. A town that has piqued my curiosity for sometime, but I did not manage to visit during my previous visit to the Czech Republic 9 years prior.
Near to the tourist hotspot of Telc, Jihlava is a much more sleepy affair, particularly after the buzz of Brno. However, it was not without its charms and interesting sights. Even though it was a somewhat failed visit due to most of the main sights being closed, it still afforded me a more everyday insight into ordinary Czech-life.
