I have no idea if this has ever been done, I did not find anything with a Google search. I thought it would be cool if Matt could have a smoke effect from his airplanes so I made a simple device from household items to do this.

Why we did what we did.
We all ready had everything on hand, the bottle, the powder, the drill, and the ducktape.
Rather than use some sort of smoke bomb, (which we have) we felt it was a LOT safer to use powder. With this powder module, we could dispense the powder when we wanted it to dispense by putting the plane into a dive, rolling it or doing hammerheads. If we used a smoke bomb, we'd have to light it on the ground and it might last 10 seconds or so, before the plane could get in a position to do aerobatics.
This is a super easy project and can be made in about 5 minutes.
While filming the bomb dropping video we noticed the bombs that had powder in them emitted a stream of powder at certain speeds and it looked pretty cool.
