For blending fluency it's good think of pairs of sounds. For example think of a cluster as a chunk of sound. They're still individual sounds, but put together. These are NOT digraphs or diphthong but clusters of sounds with a simple vowel consonant ending.
The vowel, consonant ending can also be thought of as a single chunk Inn order to aid fluency.
