In this episode of Ghost Kitchen, we visit Olmsted, a restaurant in Brooklyn, NY, opened by Chef Greg Baxtrom. With the spread of COVID-19 in New York City, Baxtrom has been forced to lay off over 60 employees and close his restaurant. In response, he’s partnered with the LEE initiative, a restaurant workers relief program, to find new ways to feed his community in crisis. Tune in to see how Olmsted has adjusted to the unprecedented changes in the restaurant industry and the world beyond.

With social distancing becoming the new norm, restaurants still remain an essential part of our community. Whether it’s pivoting to pick-up and delivery or lending a helping hand to those in need, these businesses are adapting with the times. Thrillist’s new show ‘Ghost Kitchen’ spotlights how these restaurants are changing and bringing people together, giving us a first hand perspective on how these establishments are serving a new purpose beyond just food.
