A look at cultures and population movements of the ice age along with some interesting genetic anomalies and possible interpretations of them. The aurignacians of Europe encounter a divide when the ice caps descend over Europe isolating a western branch of this culture for an incredibly long period of time. This culture develops unique characteristics and is identified as the solutreans primarily in the Iberian peninsula and areas of southern/western France. As the ice sheets retract at the end of the ice age the solutreans branch out and become the magdalaneans, conquering much of Europe in an eastward sweep. The magdalaneans seem to experience a degradation in culture at this time in their lithic technologies, accompanied by evidence of cannibalism. They reach as far east as Poland in the north until the eastern branch of aurignacians, by this time evolving into the epigravettians, with the greatest representation around Greece, have a counter population movement replacing the magdalaneans all the way back to their homeland. The war of Atlantis was described as coming from the western Mediterranean and conquering most of Europe except for Greece, until populations in Greece defeat and liberate the conquered areas. This is depicted in the archaeological record as a population movement with unknown explanation which is contrast with the Atlantis story.
