As i'm starting to discover weekend getaways from Mumbai, i've realized what i've been missing right under my nose!
So this weekend, a couple of us friends took off to Nashik to put our noses to good use...
Taking up a friend's suggestion, we visited York Winery, just 10 minutes ahead of Sula & Soma vineyards.
The location and setting of their vineyard is simply unbeatable - with a sprawling 9 acre property set against the gorgeous backdrop of the Godavari basin.
Lush landscapes, idyllic setting, award winning wines, authentic and simple cuisine... we couldn't have possibly asked for anything better!
OK, a fantastic AirBNB stay + being shown around by Kailash Gurnani of York Winery were the cherries (cheese?!) on top.
Back home in less than 3 hours, we're regaling in this joyous epiphany:
Maharashtra = the California of India
Nashik = Napa Valley!
