2020 07-12 Theosophy – WHAT IS FOHAT
There was a reading from The Theosophical Glossary describing Fohat, as references linking spirit to matter, as noted on Secret Doctrine I, pp. 15 & 16. Fohat is the intelligent medium. It electrifies every atom into life. HPB teaches as Nature does. She does not follow Western mode of teaching. She applied the ancient to cosmical, human and terrestrial. Life is electricity & Fohat is the essence of electricity. Fohat is the agent of the law, the active potency of the electrical power of matter. Primordial matter is electrified to action by Fohat. Link between Fohat & the third emanation was explained. Mahat is the Universal Mind. Fohat proves how deeply familiar the ancients were with the manifested and unmanifested universe. Fohat creates nothing on its own but animates all. Fohat is personified cosmic vital power. The speaker linked Fohat to Kriyashakti. Electricity is an emanation. Fohat represents what is behind him. The seven forms of cosmic magnetism was discussed, as was supersensuous effects in their hidden behavior. The seven centers of energy was discussed and to every septenary plane. The thread of life is the thread of Fohat, In Egypt Fohat was know as Toum. Noot is space. We don’t know the reality of Toum but the ancients did. The Plasma Theory was discussed, as was aether, lowest substratum of Akasa.
