I am constantly seeing this debated online. What is more accurate? The mini 14 or the AR-15. Granted this test doesn't take into account all variants of each rifle, but it is what I could produce with what I had on hand. My lightweight AR with a lightweight 16 inch free-floated chrome lined barrel 1:9 twist vs a stainless 16 inch Ruger mini 14. We took some sight in shots at 50 yards, then shot 10 rounds at 50 yards, then 10 rounds at 100 yards. In my opinion the AR-15 was more accurate but the mini wasn't bad. We used federal target ammo, 55 grain .223
