We've been asked about what other names Edie thought about before she landed on Edie. She was so torn on a few until Anna suggested Edie as a good mix of her old name and a new name, it also ment her sister Emilia didnt feel like she wouldnt be in the E team anymore.
She then had to tell her school and friends, which was such a big deal for her, to be accepted outside of the home. But she bravely marched into school and slowly day by day told more people till everyone begain calling her by her new name.
Of course there are still some people who use her dead name or call her by male pronous in order to hurt her feelings but she knows anyone that doesnt respect her life choices are not people she needs in her life.
