"Day of the Eagle" by Robin Trower off of his "Bridge Of Sighs" album which came out in 1974. The bass player was James Dewar.
This was another one of the "short notice gig" songs I recorded back in May. (For the story on that see the info section beneath my War Pigs cover - [ Ссылка ]) I recorded these videos one after the other, one take each. I've got one more of these, I wanted to post them all in a row before I got back to my usual stuff.
The point of these covers was to show how I'd go about learning a song for a gig as opposed to my normal covers. For a gig, I might not focus so much on every little detail and might bend things a bit to make playing them a bit more comfortable and to minimize the risk of screwing up. This is pretty close to the album except for the part @ 00:35 (Ab, A, F#) where I played a more structured/syncopated riff using root, 5th, octave (with a triplet on top) and 5th. I'm amazed at how much that small section speeds up every time it's played on the album.
