topeng II explores the same theme as in topeng I. This piece further explores the story of Kakbhusundi the crow telling the tale of Rama and Sita to Garuda by a lake to cleanse and enlighten him. The crow, the mythical bird and the lake water are three elements that come together for awakening to happen. In topeng II these three elements interplay with one another within the music.
