Magpupungko Rock Pools is a unique tourist attraction on Siargao Island in the Philippines. They are natural tidal pools found in the town of Pilar, on the east coast of Siargao. The pools are created from water left behind in a coastal rock formation when the ocean retreats at low tide. The water is clear, the rock formations are stunning and it even has a beautiful beach so it’s a popular place to swim and hang out. Note that the rocks at Magpupungko Rock Pools can be quite sharp, so it’s a good idea to wear water shoes. Since it’s popular to come at low tide, it’s hard to avoid crowds but we didn’t mind it.
