RESPIGHI (1879 – 1936) Fontane di Roma.
The symphonic poem “Fontane di Roma”, composed in 1917, together with the other two works of his Roman triptych, “Pini di Roma” and “Feste Romane” have made Respighi world famous. The work is performed by the Philharmonic Orchestra of Trieste and conducted by Francesco Mander. It is recorded for RCA’s Camden Label.
The four fountains are:
1. La Fontana di Valle Giulia
2. La Fontana del Tritone
3. La Fontana di Trevi
4. La Fontana di Villa Medici
