My 1967 Minneapolis Moline G-1000 Vista working with a Teagle/Berti flail mower.
The tractor is rated at 111HP at the PTO, with an engine speed of 1800 RPM.
The 8.3 Litre engine uses the Lanova injection system, and develops a huge amount of torque. As with most indirect injection diesels it can be a little slow to start, but by using the electrically operated ether injection system starting is instantaneous.
The transmission has five gears, and the ampli-torc system provides ten forward speeds.
There are two PTO shafts permanently fitted for 540 and 1000 RPM, and these are engaged with a hand clutch.
The hydraulics have draft and position control, and there are two double acting spool valves.
The mower is a Teagle Dual 285, and is fitted with the three piece grass flails. It is doing a very good job in tough dry grass.
Having spent a lot of time in a quiet air conditioned cab it is good to get out in the sun, but ear defenders are an essential bit of kit.
