Join Karen Parrino, a Nationally Board Certified Kindergarten Teacher with 23 years of experience as she details her experiences as a member of the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Career (PARCC) Educator Leader Cadre (ELC), which is a national group of teachers who are helping to shape this new assessment series.
This presentation redelivers information from the PARCC ELC meeting in September of 2012, and explains such topics as the technology of PARCC, evidence based assessment, evidence based design (EBD), the common core state standards and their relationship to PARCC, Foundation and purpose of PARCC, model content frameworks, support for parcc, transition to parcc assessments, performance based testing, and other important features that educators need to know.
