WE DO NOT VANDALIZE OR BREAK INTO PLACES. OUR ONLY PURPOSE IS TO DOCUMENT THESE PLACES SO OTHERS CAN SEE AND ENJOY AS WE DO OURSLEVES.
In this weeks video we're exploring the Abandoned Diamond Run Mall in Rutland, Vermont. Opened in 1995 with high hopes and grand ambitions, this once-bustling shopping center stood as a testament to the mall boom of the late 20th century. At its peak, Diamond Run boasted over 60 stores and three major anchor retailers, JC Penney, Sears, and Kmart. For nearly 25 years, it was the heart of shopping in Rutland County. But like many malls across America, Diamond Run fell victim to changing consumer habits and the rise of online shopping. In October 2019, the mall closed its doors for the last time. Now, five years later, we're going to explore what remains of this once-thriving retail hub. Join us as we walk through empty corridors, peer into abandoned stores, and uncover the stories left behind in this modern-day ruin.
