Dr. Antonio La Viña is a trustee of the Manila Observatory and teaches law, governance and philosophy in, among others, the Ateneo de Manila University and the University of the Philippines. He shares his thoughts and insights on what living in a code red world and what appropriate adaptation may look like.
Dr. La Viña spoke at the Stakeholders’ Briefing: Latest IPCC Report on Impacts, Adaptation & Vulnerability held last March 3, 2022 by the Manila Observatory, National Resilience Council, Oscar M. Lopez Center (OML Center), and the UPLB Interdisciplinary Studies Center for Integrated Natural Resources and Environment Management (INREM).
The online stakeholders’ briefing provided an overview of the key findings of the report through the featured IPCC authors from the Philippines and their initial analysis on the implications for the Philippines. The briefing will be led by the three Filipino scientists who were part of the IPCC AR6 WG2 development.
