😱So Hanoi has a lot, we mean A LOT, of coffee cafes! They are cute, hidden, unique and serve great coffee. All we did was trying the cafes in the old quarter, cause apart of some highlights, there’s not much more to do than trying drinks & food!

☕️So if you are looking for good coffee and sometimes also good food, here are some tips for the best cafes and coffee in Hanoi:

Cafes with a special touch:

📝 The Note Cafe: it’s incredible how many notes are written! They are put on everything.. the chairs, ceiling, lights, stairs.. it’s amazing. Order a coffee and write a little note. We liked to visit it at night, cause the colors were so bright and the view is amazing!

🛵 The Hidden Gem Cafe: sometimes you wonder if a place is really hidden, but this one is, if you don’t know about it beforehand! It’s situated at the second, third and fourth floor, above a bike shop. The murals are insane on the top level, so make sure to check it out!

⛪️HipHub Café: not that special menu, but at the highest level, you will have an amazing view of the St. Joseph Cathedral!

Cafes for the trainstreet of Hanoi:

🚃 Railway Tuan Cafe - The Original: this part of the trainstreet is the busiest and has the most cafes. We liked this one and the view with all the lights at night is amazing!

🚋 Nam Vy Coffee - Hanoi Train Street 2: this part of the trainstreet is on the other side of the station. It’s lovely, cause it’s quiet and has a great view during the day. The coffee and breakfast were delicious here.

Cafes with good food for brunch:

🥥Hanoi Coffee Station: it was our first to try and we loved the view and the breakfast! You can choose toast or delicious smoothie bowls.

🖼️ Bancông Cafe & Restaurant: we had dinner here and loved the interior! The french style with all different paintings, flowers and cute decorations makes this cafe special to go to.

🥪 Banh Mi 25: we went for the famous Vietnamese sandwiches and together with their yoghurt smoothies it was DELICIOUS! You have different spots where you can sit.
