Trollstigen is probably one of the most famous and recognizable roads in Norway! Tourists from all over the world dream of riding it, but at the same time they are afraid of meeting the steep and narrow mountain serpentine! So we can safely say that the name "Troll Staircase" alone causes awe and tickles your nerves even at the stage of planning a trip!
Trollstigen was discovered in 1936, but can still serve as an example of engineering and design art! The serpentine consists of 11 sharp turns and the slope of the road in some places reach 9 percent.
The road is surrounded by majestic and sheer peaks from which mighty waterfalls fall. We can also confidently add that the descent along the troll road is a real adventure, especially in the tourist season and in conjunction with a caravan!!!
But, how wonderful it is to stand on the observation deck at sunset, listen to the roar of waterfalls and watch how small cars go up and down ... this is magic, delight, and love at first sight!
We hope we will be able to convey in this video our feelings from visiting the troll road - to you! We tried very hard :)
Also, thank you for traveling with us!
