I've always been fascinated with stop-motion animation.
My most watched movie of all-time is "Wind In the Willows" (1983 - Cosgrove Hall Films). You can watch it on YouTube. [ Ссылка ]
It's been around 25 yrs since I last dabbled with stop-motion animation. "Dabbled" meant 4 frames/sec on a VHS camera (pre-digital days) and sticking wires in our kid's stuffed animals and toys.
I finally got around to attempting it again, this time with a digital camera setup, shooting at 24 fps, which ended up being 664 individual photos for this short clip. Whew! A LOT harder than I expected, keeping track of all the body joint movements while not bumping ANYTHING else in the room!
I shot it at night in order to control the lighting in the room and it took longer than expected as I frantically rushed the last few seconds before the sun rose! :-0 I'm getting too old for this. ;-)
While not the results I hoped for, I learned a lot, experimenting with puppet making/armature materials and figuring out timing and movements during the animation process.
