We set sail in our Catalina 30 at 5:30 am for a 68 nautical mile journey to Kincardine Ontario. The calm conditions of the day would offer a serene trip compared to the rough conditions we experienced sailing from Kincardine to Tobermory at the beginning of the trip. While offshore, we were visited by a small songbird that landed on the boat to take a rest. Some members of the crew gave the bird more of a warm welcome than the bat we encountered on the previous crossing.
