This six-minute video provides a behind-the-scenes look at the work being done by the fifth medical mission team sent to Haiti from the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center. The video, shot by operating room nurse Nicole Richardson, opens with a view of the Haitian countryside and the destruction that is still present even seven weeks after the devastating earthquake shook the country, while several doctors, nurses and other patient care staff members appear on camera discussing their individual experiences since arriving in the country earlier that day.

Through these stories, viewers are given a glimpse into the daily activities being carried out by team members, the importance of the lifesaving work being done, and the progress that has been made thus far in helping to restore the health and well being of Haitian people.
