The Shilin Stone Forest in Kunming is a geological miracle that took over 270 million years to form and is deeply embedded in local Chinese folklore since the Ming dynasty. These grey limestone shards can reach heights in excess of 30 meters (98 feet) and litter the landscape as far as the eye can see. Additionally this guided tour offers fantastic drone footage of this "First Wonder of the World" that is also a UNESCO site.
