Don't call it the Milano, the Junior is Alfa Romeo's next top model, with the all-new small SUV slotting in underneath its segment-straddling Tonale and mid-size Stelvio siblings. As such, the Junior is tasked with delivering the iconic Italian brand much-needed incremental sales volume, which it will need to do against the Lexus LBX and soon-to-discontinued Audi Q2.
To stand out from the crowd, the Junior offers three powertrain options: a 100kW 'self-charging' series-parallel petrol-electric hybrid and two fully electric vehicles, with the latter split between 118kW/260Nm Elettrica and 207kW/345Nm Veloce 280 versions. Their shared 54kW battery delivers up to 410km of driving range.
But there's more to the Junior than just what's under the bonnet (I mean, just look at it). In this expert review, CarsGuide Managing Editor Tim Nicholson travels to Italy to get behind the wheel of the small SUV's Elettrica Veloce 280 flagship prior to its Australian release date in the second half of 2025.
