The trial of Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer filmed with his knee on George Floyd’s neck, continues on April 8. He is charged with murder and manslaughter for Floyd’s death on May 25, 2020. This stream contains graphic content.
The eighth day of the trial included testimony from Jody Stiger, a use-of-force expert and longtime Los Angeles Police Department sergeant, who said Chauvin had been pressing down on Floyd with most of his body weight for the entirety of the nine minutes and 29 seconds Floyd was restrained.
