It has been some time since my last visit. A few days ago we had hard frosts for a few days and since then strong winds and rain. The winter has begun.
The temperature today was around 11c so some colonies will have a few flying bees - some more than others.
No flying bees at all is an indication that something isn't right with that colony. There were two boxes here where the bees hard died out.
