Auto Launch Sequence for FrSKY Taranis with Safety

This is my custom Auto launch program for Taranis Tx on OpenTX.
It took me a while to finetune it and make it foolproof and I’m sure you can further improve it . There are so many ways to do this on OpenTX but this is my way!

You just need OpenTX installed on your PC to play around with it.
I have an armed switch (SG) to arm the motor. If the arm switch is not on , the auto launch can not be initiated. Once the auto launch sequence begins it can be stopped by disarming the motor or turning SG off.
I made the auto launch switch (SC) to be momentary to avoid its being turned on accidentally. You must turn it ON and OFF within 1sec to be able to activate auto launch. This also ads extra safety.
The sequence is
1. Turn SG on
Make sure the motor is working by moving the throttle stick up & down
2. Turn SC On and Off within 1sec
3. Elevator goes down (about 30%)
4. Motor starts at low rpm ( about 25% throttle)
5. Move the throttle stick to above 50% (motor is still spinning at 25% throttle). This is where the final throttle position once the sequence ends. It needs to be at least 50% throttle as most planes cruse about 50% throttle once launched. This is what INAV auto launch uses.
If you don’t move the throttle to at least 50% within the time slot , the auto launch sequence will be aborted . This is the second safety feature so that motor doesn’t spin at full power unless you have fully committed to the launch.
6. Once the throttle stick is above 50% the count down begins (3,,2,,,1)
7. Then the motor will spin at full power (100% throttle)
8. Launch the plane immediately and it will climb gradually (30% elevator up)
9. After few seconds there will be as warning sound and the throttle value will come down to the position you set your throttle earlier at step 5.
Now the plane is under your control and you can fly it anyway you like.
