India's aviation ministry has initiated the urban mobility project, aiming to launch the nation's first air taxi by 2026.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has established several technical committees to guide the project.
The committees will oversee the introduction of air taxis in key metropolitan areas such as Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, & Bengaluru, with plans to expand to Chennai & Hyderabad.
