In today’s video, we follow the intricate process of transporting the massive Caterpillar 992K Wheel Loader over a 250km journey to its new home in a quarry. This two-day operation involved detailed load and road planning, removing key components for transport, and navigating various challenges along the way. The journey began at dawn, with a convoy carefully moving the loader on a Nooteboom 4-axle hydraulic trailer. By the end of the second day, the loader had reached its destination, ready to begin work at the quarry.

Bridges and Overpasses: The reduced height of the loader helped clear most obstacles, but several bridges still required slow and calculated crossings.

The journey progressed steadily, with stops to inspect the load and trailer to ensure everything remained secure. After hours of travel, the convoy finally arrived at the quarry.

Once at the quarry, the team began the process of unloading the Caterpillar 992K from the trailer. Using specialized equipment, they reassembled the operator’s cabin and bucket, preparing the loader for work.
