Today we take a look at another spooky game and this time its the indie title Funeralopolis. This gem of a game tells a mysterious story of an overseer who lives in a small apartment in Poland. The streets outside are empty, the sky is grey and mysterious voices can be heard over the radio. As each day passes more mysterious and sinister things start happening and it all builds up to a really, surprising and creepy climax.
I loved the atmosphere in this game. I have a soft spot for these Eastern European games that are set in their small apartments. They transport me to such a different atmosphere and its weirdly cozy to me. In this game you also interact with the other inhabitants of the apartment and it feels like you are really part of a little community.
I think it would have been cool to have maybe a bit more room to explore like the floor below or outsides, but other than that its a great story that just builds and builds. The world is beautiful and very detailed with the main character commenting on all the small objects in his viscinity.
